Job Analysis looks at the specific tasks of a job and Competency Profiling identifies the skills, knowledge, abilities, attitudes and behaviour required to effectively perform within any specific job role. Once this framework is in place, it can be useful in performance appraisal systems, career and succession planning and at recruitment.
