Lifelong Learning

Learning continuously is key to making informed choices in your personal and working life. Recognising this and its importance in gaining a competitive advantage, Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce has partnered with SCE Enterprise to develop a comprehensive programme of training and development opportunities tailored to the demands of global competition in the 21st Century.

A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development is synonymous with proficient leaders and high achievers enabling both themselves and their business to develop and grow into the future. The programme of training and development offers a wide range of knowledge and skills courses at all levels of operation to enhance performance across a variety of business and managerial functions.

Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and SCE Enterprise are dedicated to providing quality services to businesses and individuals. Our aim is unparalleled provision and delivery, ensuring that your investment in training will benefit your business.

Our Approach

We believe that training and development programmes must lead to effective transfer of knowledge and skills to the workplace. We align the training to best practice in business and ensure that sessions are highly participative and allow for active exploration of current issues with reflection and action planning.

The training programme of integrated provision offers topics at a variety of levels gradually increasing breadth and depth of knowledge and minimising duplication of learning for those seeking career progression. The structure of the programme allows access to the training as free standing events or as a group of appropriate courses to allow the option of seeking assessment leading to certification. In the area of management development, it is designed to allow progression from supervisory through to director level.

Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and SCE Enterprise are offering an initial programme and an overview follows. This range of provision will be extended in response to demand and to offer further progression pathways.
