This project is supported by European Social Funding and aims to engage with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to research development needs and the extent to which e-learning can assist in taking learning forward. Findings from the project will inform our planning so the provision we offer meets company requirements.

Key elements include:

• an online interactive questionnaire to help specify training needs, preferred methods of learning and relevant constraints
• optional consultancy visits to follow up data from the questionnaires and provide additional support to identify training needs, if required
• provision of basic training to raise awareness and understanding of what online learning can offer
• access to 'Learning Snippets' to provide some experience of using online materials.

In order to take the project forward we are working in collaboration with the Retail and Hospitality Academies and the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.
